Kathy - With my first and only (to this point)injection, I felt the same way. It lasted for two days, then was fine. My doctor said that some people experience "flu-like" symptoms. Hope you are feeling better. Carol Buckner ADSD

Kathy, I had my 2nd Botox a cpl wks ago and afterwards I began feeling like I had some sort of "bug" which lasted for about 3 days. The worst part for me was the "tightening" feeling in my chest and shortness of breath. I also felt slightly nauseated and just didn't feel good at all. I had none of these symptoms after my first injection, which gave me a good voice for only about 4-5 wks. I think this second injection my doc really "hit the spot" pretty good because I have been at a whisper ever since. I hope this means a longer "good voice" for me!
Hope all is better now with you! Julie mixed SD WA State --modified by julie at Mon, Sep 09, 2002, 22:57:02 |

I had flew like symptoms the evening of my first injections but worse than that I had temporary paralysis...my muscles went limp and I couldn't stand, or lift my arms and everything ached for about 24 hours. My husband picked my up off the floor and put me to bed. When he got a hold of my ENT he informed us that this was a very VERY rare reaction but it can happen! I had many many injections after that and did not have any of the above reactions. Not to worry.. you WILL feel better. Cynthia
