I've just recently been diagnosed with SD(AD). My symptoms began in September but I wasn't aware of them until they didn't disappear in October along with my upper respiratory symptoms. I mentioned my concern to my primary care physician and he diagnosed it as SD. I live in a small town but we are fortunate to have excellent physicians here. He sent me to a speech pathologist and ENT for a confirmation of the diagnosis. In the meantime, I read up on SD on the internet and had no doubt about the diagnosis. I'm a relatively confident person but those appointments were certainly humbling experiences. I know this must be a very naive question but what can I expect in the way of progression? Is there any kind of a ball park figure from the appearance of symptoms to the time when botox is a treatment option? I'm guessing each case varies widely but I thought I would ask. I'm sure happy I found this bulletin board. I have enjoyed the practical and positive comments. Thanks.
