Sneezing and SD (Spasm-Related?)

This may be a strange question. Then again, I'm always asking unusual questions (curious nature). How many SDers have a sudden bout of sneezing? I get this, and don't think it's allergy-related. It happens anywhere to 2x a week or a few days in a row. Out of the blue I'll just sneeze...doesn't matter when or where. Only once or twice though. Seems to have started a couple of years ago. Just wondered if it's some sort of spasm-reaction, related to the same culprit as SD.

Hi, Nancy!

No question is too strange due to the unique manifestations of SD symptoms in each of us SD sufferers. I don't get the sneezing, but I do involuntary inhalations like the one that happens after crying.

If you think your question is strange, read my next post. You made me remember a question I tried to post a few days ago.

I was curious about whether anyone else experienced involuntary inhalations and discovered I wasn't the only one!

I hope you discover you're not the only person with involuntary sneezing. Now you've gotten me curious about what parts of the body are involved with sneezing!

Much success,

Bonnie

"I hope you discover you're not the only person with involuntary sneezing."

I want to hear from anyone who does voluntary sneezing.... now, THAT would be really unusual.

;-)

Touche! LOL!

Linda, can trying to sneeze...but not being able to sneeze...count as a voluntary sneeze?! :-D

Hi Nancy,

I am new to this only having been diagnosed very recently with AD/SD. I read your post last week and since then I have been keeping account of my sneezing......!

I sneeze on average, 3 or 4 times a day. Each sneezing consists of at least 2 sometimes 3 sneezes!!!! I think I have always been like this... My ex husband used to call me "Two sneeze Louise"!!!

Its not allergy related as I have had it check out way before I was diagnosed.

Interestingly my partner, Tim and my daughter haven't sneezed once this week!.

Make of it what you will but you are not alone...... maybe it has nothing to do with SD and we are just sneezers!!?? :-)

Louise (Aaachuuuuu) AD/SD Australia.
