I knew it! I heard Robert Kennedy Jr. speaking on 60 Minutes a while ago and was sure he had SD. Apparently, Bill Clinton has a mild form of Muscle Tension Dysphonia. Has anyone else heard that?

Chip Hanauer has SD. Hanauer was the youngest person elected to the Motorsport Hall of Fall. He is the winningest active driver in the Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Association. In the past, Hanauer was a spokesperson for the National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association (NSDA).

Louise Lasser of "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" fame (as well as Woody Allen's ex) has S.D. If memory serves me, I remember hearing her speak eons ago at an S.D. support group in New York.

Jimmie Rodgers of "Honeycomb" fame. (Not to be confused with the older Jimmie Rodgers of C&W fame who died many years ago).Jimmie (his first/last name is spelled several different ways online) was playing at the "Remember When" Theater in Branson, Missouri back in 1999. Several of us tried to contact him back then (I wrote him a letter, directed to the theater) but none of us have heard back, that I know of. I have a VHS tape of one of his performances (a get-together of old 50's Rock & Roll'ers) filmed around that time, where he said he had SD. Also, Linda Thompson - British rock star who made a comeback (new album) in 2002 after many years away from the music scene. She started on Botox sometime within the last few years, and was able to sing/record again. Diane Rehm interviewed her when her new album came out. --Lynne

The other nite watching on T.V a broadcast of Robert Kennedy making a speech after the assassination of his brother it seemed that he might have suffered from S.D. also...At that time in space we weren't aware of such an affliction. I could be wrong.
