Well, 72 hours after my 1st botox injection & finally something's happening. I assume that the "breathy" stage kicked in today. I actually went a whole 2 1/2 hours with no spasms, breaks in my voice. But, all in all, there weren't many of them at all today. My voice is softer, kind of airy sounding and a little raspy. I'm thrilled and can't wait to see what happens next. Everyone at work kept saying " it's working, it's working" I'm so glad I didn't chicken out of having the botox, just hopes it continues to work. I haven't yet had any swallowing or breathing problems but did have a funny feeling in my throat today for a short while, like water was trickling down the very back of my throat. That was a little weird but not bad. My breathing is better than it usually is and this is definitely a plus! I think I've read that the breathy stage lasts a few weeks or so? I'll take whatever I get at this point, it could last awhile and I'd still be happy. |
