Hi Jen,After, I think my second injection, I had to take some allergy medication to stop the dripping from the back or my throat. It felt like it was coming from my nasal cavity. Go to your local pharmacy and get a box. Hope this helps. Paula

Hi Jen,
I have chronic sinus issues involving runny nose, post nasal drip, sneezing, etc, etc. I know I have allergies but I have never figured out to what. I have been tested and nothing was found. It may seem weird but, what I think it is, is temperature change? If I go from a heated room to a cold or cooler area, or outdoors, I start sneezing like crazy and my nose will run. The same thing happens if I'm in an air conditioned place, then move to a warmer or hotter place. I can feel the inside of my nose start to tingle before the sneezing starts. This is a year round event and happens anywhere and everywhere. I have tried every allergy pill known to man, nothing helps. I don't want to try steroids.
I have always felt this is somehow connected to my SD. They both came on at the same time.
I hate my runny nose and sneezing fits as much as the SD. People see me like that, then hear my terrible voice and think I'm really sick.
Personally, I think our environment is the problem. Too many chemicals.
Stop the world, I'd like to get off. :)Raymond

Raymond,I like your sense of humor ("Stop the world, I'd like to get off"). I, too have sinus problems, but I figured it was because of my job, where I'm constantly swimming in ocean water. Besides allergy sprays (I have them but am not a fan of using any medicine made by man for extended periods of time, or at all if I can help it) has anyone tried any holistic approaches to clearing out the sinuses? If so, what are they and how'd they work? I would also consider getting my sinuses vaccuumed (although I hate the idea of going under general anesthetic)- has anyone tried this and does it improve the quality of your tone? Bye-bye all! Remember you are all a light in someone's life! I look forward to my BB visits every day! Val

Hi Val,
I saw that phrase on a bumper sticker years ago, so I can't take credit for that one. I have other phrases but this being a public forum I don't want to upset anyone. :)
Salt water gets me sneezing too. I took up scuba diving and discovered it wreaks havoc with my sinuses. Decompression is difficult, and on the surface I'm a mucus factory. (sorry) It really takes the fun out of diving.
I also don't take many pills or other meds, but i'm not much of a holistic person either. I have tried natural sprays, with not much success.
I have never heard of a sinus vacuuming! I might look into that. I think I would request the upholstery brush for my nose. lol! Seriously, I'm getting tired of the daily sneezing, etc.
Like Lori said in her post below, I do use the same nasal rinse her daughter (I think she said?) uses. It does help clean out the dirt etc. but I still have issues with sneezing and runny nose after.
Oh well, Life is still good regardless. (just pass the tissue box) :)
Stay positive!
Raymond

My daughter used to have 3-4 sinus infections per year. I took her to a specialist who recommended irrigating the sinuses with a sterile saline solution on a regular basis. There are many kits available on the market, but the one she likes best is NeilMed Sinus Rinse. It's all natural, very easy to use, and you wouldn't believe all the gunk that comes out. Also, a good friend of mine used to get a very runny nose whenever she bent over. She went to many doctors, but no one ever knew what it was. Then she became seriously ill with bacterial meningitis. Apparently, there was a hole between her sinus cavity and her brain, likely the result of a previous sinus surgery. Last year, she had a bad sinus infection and the bacteria entered her brain through this hole. Her nose used to run when she bent over because spinal/brain fluid was leaking out and running out her nose. Once she recovered from the infection, she had surgery to close the hole and her nose doesn't run anymore. Obviously, this is extremely rare. Lori

Hi Jen,The same thing happened to me after my Botox injection last week. My ENT uses a scope through my nose and within seconds of it being removed I started sneezing out of control and then my nose started running non-stop. In fact, on my walk home I had to stop in at fast food restaurants twice to grab some napkins. It was crazy. Luckily, the nose running subsided after a few days but during that time it felt like I had a terrible cold. I'm not sure if this was a coincidence, onset of spring allergies, or if the scope triggered something. I don't remember anything quite like this happening with previous injections but I've only done it 5 times so far. Luckily, the worst is over. Hope you dry out soon, if you haven't already. Hello Everyone,I am happy that we are all dripping together!!!! The next time I get together with you all I will remember to bring several boxes of tissues! (HA HA HA) Mostly for me! I have not tried flushing out my sinus. My ENT prescribed a nasal spray that I did not fill. I just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this like me. This is a little annoying quirk that is part of the SD. Spring has arrived and the nose is running like the water faucet. I have not done Botox. The last time I tried Botox was 15 years ago and they did not work. Jen
