I have never heard any linkage between SD and post nasal drip.
I'm sure some people with SD also have post nasal drip but
SD involves the muscles of the vocal cords near the larynx. That is relatively "far" from the nasal sinuses.

If you want to learn more about SD, try going to the National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association (NSDA) web site. The information there has been screened by a panel of doctors for accuracy, etc. That site is www.dystonia.org

metoo -

I haven't posted anything in a loong time but used be on the BB quite a lot. If you do a search in the Archives (link at top of page) you will find many threads about SD and post nasal drip. Here are a couple of links directly to archives posts:
http://www.dysphonia-bb.org/forumarchives/sd/6346.html
http://www.dysphonia-bb.org/forumarchives/sd/8356.html

I believe it is considered more of a side effect of SD, not a cause of it.

I wish you well, Robin (AB, So. Cal.)

I, too, suffer from PND. It leads to a tickle in my throat,or coughing, particularly in the AM. Whether it causes SD I doubt but it certainly complicates it, especially so if I have a cold on top of it.
