| Thyroid nodules caused by Botox injections/ |  | ||

I have been receiving Botox injections for many years and have recently found out that I have some nodules on my thyroid gland. I'm wondering if the trauma from the injections could have caused them and wonder if anyone else has experienced this. Two of the nodules are right in the middle (the isthmus) of the gland. |

How did you discover the nodules? Was your doctor looking for them? |

I have been feeling a sense of fullness in my throat especially when I lay down and the dr. found them using ultrasound. |

My doctor found thyroid nodules before I was actually diagnosed with SD and he was looking for the cause of my vocal problems. Unless they are quite large, they have no impact on the vocal cords. |

The same thing happened to me. My doctor found the thyroid nodules when I began having trouble with my voice several years ago. I see an ENT yearly to keep a check on it. The initial biopsy was benign. They told me the same thing...not related to vocal problem. It does however seem like it would be. |

Yeah, I would love to think that maybe if they were removed my voice would get better but probably not. I just can't help but wonder if the injections have caused some irritation that caused them to form. Probably no way to know. |
