My voice intermittantly sounds like it is returning, when I try to use it and push the volume I get hoarse for a few days after. Is this typical of this stage? Will it get easier? Would anyone recommend working with a speech pathologist? I feel like I don't remember how to use the vocal muscles properly. Wondering what other's experiences have been like. |

Hi Vicki,
I have communicate with you before in regard to singing I believe. I had SLAD-R surgery 3 years ago and I can send you my surgical diary. What you are going through is normal. Don't push your voice because hoarseness can occur. That means that you are abusing your vocal cords. I also had USC voice therapy and I can send you techniques on that as well. Just email at: trish0@dslextreme.com |
