SSRI's and dystonias

Hi Everyone! I've been suffering from SD since 2004 when I was a high school senior. I am now a 2nd-year medical student. In my studies, I was reading up on side-effects of SSRI's (particularly Prozac/Fluoxetine) when I noticed that dystonias are an infrequent side effect of SSRI use, and very rarely the symptoms may persist permanently. It suddenly dawned on me that my laryngeal dystonia symptoms appeared shortly after my using Prozac for anxiety. I do not have a history of neurological trauma, illness (aside from the occasional cold or flu), or any other precipitating factor to cause SD (except maybe high levels of stress). I have often wondered what may have caused or triggered the onset of my spasmodic dysphonia.

My question is this: Have any of you guys taken SSRI's (i.e. Prozac, Celexa, Zoloft, Paxil to name some) PRIOR to the onset of your SD symptoms? If so, can you provide a timeline for when you took the SSRI's and the onset of the SD symptoms?

Thanks so much! Take care, everyone! : )
