I haven't been on this board in ages. I have had 3 children in the last 3 years, so life is very different now! My littlest is still nursing. Does anyone have any experience with breastfeeding and Botox? I have done some research, but most of what I'm reading pertains to the use of Botox for cosmetic purposes. It seems the boiler plate answer is 'don't use it because there have not been clinical studies done to prove its safety or lack thereof'. It appears that most physicians say that it's probably safe, but there are no data to support this, so no one wants to test it.
Any first hand stories out there? My baby is 7 months now. I never had it while pregnant, but would like my voice to be better for my upcoming 20th reunion in August.

Hello
Iam a new mom and my baby girl is 11 months, about to turn 1 in 2 weeks! I breastfeed her and I have done so while getting my botox shots. My doc said it was localized, meaning it won't travel elsewhere, it'll stay in the cords. I have received 4 or 5 shots all with great success. I know it sounds scary and your probably thinking oh how can she do that but all I can say is to each his own, you gotta do what's best for you. If you feel it'll harm your baby, by all means, don't get the shots while nursing. My babyy is strong, healthy, she's only had a cold once. We have a home nurse that visits once a month and at every visit, our daughter has always been ahead with achievements and doing and behaving 2 months past her age, she's very gifted and were very thankful were so blessed.
