I've been getting botox injections for my ADSD for over a year now and I am still in my "adjustment phase". If I get a dosage that gives me optimal results with little "breathy" voice I need an injection every 9-10 weeks. When the dosage is increased I am very breathy--which causes a problem at my job.
The doctor has suggested I try Zytaze--it may help the botox be effective longer. Has anyone else tried this?

I would be very careful about trying this as it is not patented and it was a very small study that was done. Another thing to consider, is that it was used primarily for cosmetic botox which is different than that used for SD. Also the affect of the zinc was that it may make the botox work too much and that might have adverse affects for SD and breathing. This article is informative. http://www.nhs.uk/news/2012/09September/Pages/botox-pill-zytaze-claims.aspx

happy to hear you are doing well.
What is your dosage & is it unilateral or bilateral?
my dosage is o.15 unilateral & I still get breathy for about 3 wks.. I then have fairly good results for about 12 wks.
Thank you
