Primidone

I've been getting injections for 11 years. The last 3 have not worked as well. My new doctor mentioned hearing more tremor in my voice, which confirmed what I had been thinking; that the tremor is becoming more apparent as I age. He suggested I consider starting Primidone to help the tremor. Has anyone tried it and if so, does it help you?

I have been getting botox for ADSD with tremor since 2005. In 2012 my primary care doctor started Primidone when I was diagnosed with essential tremor as evidenced by head "bobbing". I have been taking Primidone ever since and it has had no effect at all on my vocal tremor. I see Dr. Berke at UCLA for my SD and I asked him if this essential tremor was related to SD and his comment was "it's all part of the same thing".
I don't know if this helps at all. I am sorry I didn't see your post sooner. I am interested to know if you started Primidone and has if had an effect on your voice?

We decided to wait on starting primidone at this time. We are going to increase the amount of Botox and possibly inject the strap muscles to help with the tremor for now. Thanks for your reply.
