I am 80 yrs. old and probably more likely to contract shingles than younger people. I had a botox injection on the 17th and the next day broke out in shingles. Botox has been my treatment for over 10 yrs. I "googled" shingles following botox and found 1 article online where two cases were documented. I'm sure there are other articles online; I just didn't search for more. I am just in the 3rd day and I think this can last wks. and months - very uncomfortable. Can't prove it was the injection, but I am going to be extremely hesitant to have more. |

Visited clinic today regarding shingles. Rec'd. several prescriptions and my dr. said the botox had nothing to do with this. So, don't want anyone to be discouraged because of my post. Probably my shingles outbreak is age related. Old age is quite an adventure! |
