I am considering getting a Botox injection for the first time. I have numerous allergies including medications and would like to get allergy tested for Botox. I have seen commercials for Botox for cosmetic use and the commercial ends with the warning not to take Botox if you are allergic to it. Apparently this is not common to request an allergy test and so far I have not found a doctor who does this. While I am told that chances of an allergic reaction are “low” I would feel more comfortable if tested. Does anyone have experience getting an allergy test for Botox or having an allergic reaction?
