My problem is closure of vocal cords with inhalation thereby restricting breathing. Does anyone else have that problem? What treatment have they received?

Hi Clyde,

Yes I have the closure of the vocal cords

causing the air way to go shut. I may go for 9 to 12

months without any problems with it and then have it

shut off 4 or 5 times in a two month period. I am

going to have a sleep study done to get a CPAP for

continuous positive air flow when it happens. But

for now when I feel it start to happen, I take a deep breath

and exhale thru pursed lips saying the letter " f f f f f f

try it it works to help relax your vocal cords.

and I also take Valium.

Take Care
