Hi,everyone! I haven't had a chance to give you an update of my 2nd shot, which was 12-12 in the hospital.I was put to sleep so the back muscle could be reached,as I have AB/SD.2 days later,my voice started being very gravely & breathy & I started feeling short of breath. So far,I'm still having all those symptoms,so I'm off work since I can't do my job of talking on the phone all day! My doc wants to see me in about a month & hopefully by then,my voice will be better-or not! Has anyone else with AB experienced these symptoms? How long did they last? I'd sure like some feedback.I am filing for short-term disability. Please wish me luck that it gets approved! Thanks for letting me ramble! Happy Holidays to all of you! Oh,I almost forgot-I recieved an e-mail to join a nation-wide dystonia online support group! If you'd like to check it out,the address is http://www.dystonia-support.org Keep in touch! Mitch Rollins AB/SD Norman,OK |

Hi Mitch, I too have AB/SD and have not really had the symptoms you mentioned. The first Botox shot I had didn't really do much for about 2 weeks and then my voice ws pretty good but no volume. I think my voice may be a bit gravely, but my voice was always sort of gravely! I have had shots since October of 2000, about every 4 months. I am getting very good results now. Good luck, Katrina |
