Hi everyone!!!

As some of you will remember I was asked to be the new support group leader in the Austin, TEXAS area about three to four months ago. Well--we had our first support group since I took over, and if I do say so myself, it went very well. I, also, really enjoyed the experience. It is really very easy and very rewarding and I recommend it to anyone who wants to start one in their area. Just thought I'd keep the board updated on my "progress" with dealing with the bugger called SD!

Renee,

How good to hear your support group meeting went very well. It is wonderful that you are helping others as well as yourself and as you say, it is rewarding, bravo to you.

I encourage other people to look into starting an SD support group in your area. I have a write up of how our group started with suggestions and I can email it to anyone. Also the NSDA office can help you with a booklet, a $50 check to assist with initial expenses and will send out first meeting announcement, contact Jennifer at jmolski@dystonia-foundation.org.
