Update on dec 12 AB shot

Hi,everybody! I wanted to give you an update on what's going on.I had an injection for AB Dec 12,was put to sleep in the hospital so doc could hit the back muscle directly.2 days later,my voice started getting very gravley & breathy.I've been off work since then because my job is talking on the phone all day! Side effects started to wear off about a month later but no voice improvement.Went back to Dr Jan 20.He said I am no longer a candidate for botox because if a direct shot to the muscle didn't work,then it's doubtful that any other injections will work.So I'm back to square 1 & have been approved off work til feb 28,in which they are going to try & find me another job in the company that doesn't require talking! Anyway,I'm just feeling a little disappointed & helpless at this point but I'm coping,as my friends & family provide excellent support! Sorry to ramble but just had to let everybody know. Has anyone here had this same situation where botox is no longer recommended? Let me know. Good luck to all of you! Mitch Rollins AB/SD Norman,OK
