I have had AD/SD for fifteen years plus and just last year started getting botox injections. The first one didn't do a whole lot. The next dose of botox was raised only a very little. My doctor feels that finding the right spot is better for a good result than raising the dosage to high levels (say 5 units per chord). He also trained under Dr. Blitzer, who is the doctor who taught him this theory. I have to say this injection has been excellent and hope he can inject this same "spot" next time.

Jana,

Good to see you on the BB and excellent point.

You are totally right, regarding *quality* as opposed to quantity. The thing is...as we patients all know...our cases are all so unique. It's not just the doseage, or the duration or the spot or anything. It's many variables. It's working with an attuned medical professional to get it right. It's trying to figure out what works for our own cases.

My long-term SD case (13 years) is so weird these days that I appreciate everyone who works with me and tries to help me figure it out. Good to hear your latest injection is working.

Thanks for posting on this subject, on the new BB. It's complicated to get our treatments right and we all struggle with that concept. Need to cultivate the docs and specialists who actually want to work with us.

--Lynne
