any family connections?

I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge about hereditary connections. I remember that my dad has "restless leg syndrome", which I see from the home page is connected to this type of disorder. Could it be hereditary in some way? Not that it makes a lot of difference if it is, I'm just curious and seeking to discover why this has happened to me. thanks
