Received first botox injection 11 days ago - breathiness is in full operation. Is there an average amount of time for this to continue or does it vary from individual to individual? And boy is this swallowing issue a problem when not paid attention to!!! Get back into some usual habits of drinking and swallowing, and we get some nasty noises being spread around the room! Looking for info on the breathiness length or experience with it after first shot! This site has been a great relief to access after a difficult day - Thanks to all !!

The breathiness usually varies from individual to individual. It is going to depend on the strength of your botox shot, if the doctor hit the spot accurately, etc. I would say that the "average" breathiness lasts from one week to one and a half months. On the good side, the longer the breathiness, the longer the good voice. Eleven days seems like a good start...
